Crash

Crash earned its name the hard way. The house was just weeks from finished construction when Helene came through, and its spot on the property took the brunt of it—trees, a box trailer, and plenty of other debris included. The impact compromised the stilt foundation, so the house had to be carefully taken apart, with most of the materials salvaged, before the stilts were repoured and Crash was rebuilt.

Today, it sits in one of the more tucked-away spots at Hey Old Friend, with a gravel firepit, a great view of the creek and center island, and a little extra sense of escape. Crash is one of our long-term rentals and is currently occupied, with an opening expected in early 2027. Message us for details on renting.
